We learned that over 23,000 people have been registered in Collin County.
If you want to become a voter registrar, you must go to the Collin County Elections office and get sworn in. You can then register others to vote.
We have until Oct 6 to register more. Here is some clarification on some rules:
- If a person has a TX Drivers' License, they must write in that number. If a person has a driver's license and they don't write the number in, the application will be rejected and sent back to the applicant and must be returned in 10 days or they won't get registered. If you're registering someone who does not have their driver's license with them (and who has a driver's license), it's better to give them a white card to fill out and mail in.
- If people fill out the white cards instead of the green ones, they need to mail them in. You are not supposed to hand-carry them to the Elections Office like you do the green cards.
