The following Collin County candidates locally filed with the Democratic Party of Collin County to seek the Democratic nomination for the following offices. The candidates' names are listed in the order that they will appear on the ballot:
Collin County Criminal District Attorney - Rafael De La Garza II
Collin County Judge - David M. Smith
Judge, Collin County Court at Law #3 - Sajeel S. Khaleel
Collin County Commissioner, Precinct 2 - Rick Koster
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Place 2 - Rey V. Flores
(The first three offices listed are countywide offices. The last two are only for certain areas of Collin County.)
The following North Texas candidates filed in Austin with the Texas Democratic Party for nominations for offices that cover parts of North Texas in addition to Collin County, and will appear on the local primary ballot above the local Collin County races. The candidates are:
U.S. Representative, District 3 - John Lingenfelder
U.S. Representative, District 4 - VaLinda Hathcox
Justice, 5th Court of Appeals, Place 4 - Bonnie Lee Goldstein
Justice, 5th Court of Appeals, Place 12 - Lawrence J. Praeger
(Collin County Democratic Primary voters will see one of the two Congressional candidates listed, depending on the voter's precinct.)
Additionally, Collin County Democratic Primary voters will have two choices in voting to decide who will be the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Collin County (Democratic County Chair) from May 3, 2010 - May 2012.
The two choices for County Chair, in the order they will appear on the ballot, as drawn randomly by the County Executive Committee at the meeting on January 8th, are:

The County Chair election is a countywide election and will be the last item on the ballot for the Collin County Democratic Primary, except in Precinct 120, where there is a contested election for Precinct Chair for the 2010 - 2012 term.
