I have sent out an e-mail concerning SB 10 by Duncan, affects State Retired Employees, Teacher Retirees and Active Teachers.
A provision in this bill states " A pay-for-performance system may include the provision of bonuses to or the sharing of realized savings with physicians and other health care providers."
This is an incentive to minimize or "ration" health care to retirees. As a retired health administrator with the state system, this bill could have unintended consequences.
This bill was to come up Wed. but they suspended the rules and bring it up tomorrow morning.
Call the members of the Public Health Committee or e-mail them today.
