Legislative Alerts

Last fall I mentioned in an e-mail about problems with pension funds.
HB 1548 by Ogden, creates more authority for a new revised Pension Review Board.  I fear this bill has unintended consequences.   It states that it is for more oversight on all governmental pension plans.  The Pension Review Board already exists.  There is no need to expand their authority.  Oversight belongs to the legislature, not to the governors office.

SB 10 by Duncan, creates a pilot HMO- like health plan for the Employees Retirement System, the Teacher Retirement System and TRS Active Care for teachers.  This bill appears to reward physicians for rationing health care.  These two bills above need to be opposed.   Both of these bills are currently in House committees.

Contact your local State Representative to oppose these bills.

Also, SB 362 Voter ID could come up at any time.  Don't let up the pressure.
It's "CRUNCH TIME".  With only two weeks to go!

Thanks for your cooperation
