A few scattered showers did not prevent about 70 Democrats from gathering at Frisco Commons, in Frisco Texas, for a Memorial Day picnic. There was good food, conversation and activities for the young and young at heart. The highlight of the day was the ceremony for the 16 Veterans in attendance. A reef of remembrance was laid at the Veterans Memorial in the park, Maury Marcus read a moving poem and Dan Dodd, County Chair, reminded us why we celebrate this day. Thanks goes to Dick Hildenbrand and Fred Lusk for grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, along with the many volunteers and helping hands that made this day a success.
