The Democratic Party of Collin County receives no financial assistance from the Texas Democratic Party, and we rely on the generosity of local donors to fund our local party office and operations.

The core goal of the Democratic Party of Collin County (DPCC) is to achieve electoral success for Democratic candidates, to clearly identify and communicate the principles for which the Democratic Party stands, and to help influence public policy and opinion, reflecting these ideals.

It sounds simple, but it is a responsibility that takes a lot of time, money and energy to reach out to our voters and our base. Sustaining contributors make the day-to-day operation of our local Party possible and funds payment of rent, telephones, the website, and much more.

During election years, we have dedicated precinct chairs and volunteers that work tirelessly to bring Democratic voters to the polls and help achieve Democratic success.

In the off election years, the DPCC is still up and running, supporting the principles of the Democratic Party and supporting efforts to elect Democrats to elected office.

Collin County has about 800,000 people and 425,000 registered voters and Collin County ranks as one of the top growth areas in the state and the nation. Since the 2000 census, the county's population has grown more than 52 percent. The county now as of the 2010 census has a population greater than the states of Alaska, North Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming -- and more than 39 nations! -- and many dollars are required to fund the organizing efforts of our local Democratic Party, including the cost of maintaining our party headquarters.

DPCC represents all Democrats to the press and public. It maintains a database of Democratic voters and activists. It disseminates information to our voters and encourages grassroots activities. In short, it conducts the official business of our Democratic Party here in Collin County.

But we could not and would not be able to do any of this without funding from Democrats living in Collin Co; we rely solely on your contributions. Will you show your support for the Democratic Party in Collin County and donate today?  Whether big or small, every donation brings us that much closer to our goal of electing Democrats in Collin County and Texas.
